It is apparent that acupuncture can be done in conjunction with existing blood pressure medical treatments. If further replications of the study are successful, the contemporary world may get an alternative treatment to lowering the blood pressure levels. The authors hope that this research study will eventually combine traditional treatments with lowering blood pressure through acupuncture.
During the course of the study, two methods of acupuncture were used, namely manual and electro acupuncture. The two methods followed the same number and intensity of activities. Both manual and electro acupuncture resulted in decreasing the levels of cardiovascular blood pressure. However, the effects of electro acupuncture tend to last approximately 10 minutes longer. No special effects were documented when both methods were combined. In summary, this study allows for an opportunity to have a deeper insight into a variety of acupunctural methods.
Overall, the popularity of acupuncture has been growing over the years. Today, it can provide an alternative method to decreasing the high levels of blood pressure. If you are tired of taking drugs and being on diets, you can always try to lower blood pressure through acupuncture.
